the value of an education

Total cost of my undergraduate education: $12,244.92. I would feel really ripped off if I had actually paid that. Scholarships have saved me from debt...

N.B. Okay, I have loved studying writing... but did I love it twelve grand worth? No. I've loved some of the professors and students I've met, but I'd rather have known them in a different context, anyway.

But it ought to make any art student think: if you work somewhere for four years, save the tuition fees, and get a promotion along the way, won't you be in about the same position as you will have to work another four years after your BA to get to? Only without having had to dodge frat parties and varsity sports along the way? Quit school, kids; it's a bunch of malarchy. Or at least do a BFA like I did, so that you can say you're working towards a Bachelor of Fuck All the whole way through.
