the tyranny of the blog

Hmm... server was down all weekend. WWWD? (What Would Woodcock Do?)

Well, in case anyone hasn't noticed, I put up an entry for every day, but on an arbitrary date. This gives me a sense of process, benchmark, continuity. Often, I'll post something that I wrote on the marked date, but really, I don't give a pip if it's not actually that day when I post. As Smellus had resist!ca down for a long while, I have a lot to catch up on... so I'm stringing y'all a series of haikus. Starting "tomorrow".

And yes, I do know they are not really haikus, in the sense that they do not break thematically in the third verse. They are meant to represent photographic slides, and the feelings of those slides, taken by my friend's father, who passed away but left a lifetime of silent stories on film.
