Attempting Glimpses of Glory

I have updated this site with a variety of older and hitherto unseen writing, which will have to do until I get done with torturing myself over a Russian project. Check out the archives for the full selection.

You see, I have read Glory by Vladmir Nabokov, and have been inspired to gloss some of his powerful imagist moments those of infinite possibility, as he puts it and to do so with a 19th century Russian metre, rhyme, and poetic sensibility.

This of course has caused me to spend a lot of time thinking about the problem of writing in such a sing-song, romantic form for a jaded contemporary world. Can the corrupt gloss innocence?
